Silvia works in research, design and media for development with a focus on sustainability, education and environmental conservation. Her latest work in social innovation includes course design and impact evaluation for Acumen, consultancies for Patagonia on communications, Conservation International on business models, and the Oakland International High School on truancy. Prior to this work, she produced media projects for the BBC, the UNFPA, Condé Nast Traveler and CaracolTV, among others. Additionally, she was the co-founder of Nomada Camp, a glamping hotel with high social impact and low environmental footprint. She has traveled extensively and lived in the US, UK, Ghana, Indonesia and Colombia. Silvia studied Cultural and Media Studies at the New School for Social Research in NY, Photography at Parsons School of Design, and graduated from the Masters of Development Practice at UC Berkeley.
